SC Student Loan Elects to Temporarily Suspend
its Federal Consolidation Loan Program

(Columbia, SC) As of April 1, 2008, SC Student Loan has elected to temporarily suspend its Federal Consolidation Loan program in order to ensure access to higher education for students and families for the upcoming 2008-09 academic year.

While it is regrettable that we have to take this measure, we believe our first priority should be in keeping with our non-profit mission of providing programs of financial assistance to enable students and parents to pursue and obtain their higher educational goals. By taking this measure, we hope to meet the financial needs of students and families through our offerings of Federal Stafford, PLUS, and Grad PLUS loans.
