Every loan we have made since our inception in 1973 has been made for one purpose -- to assist people like you in achieving the dream of a college education.

We offer several federal loan programs, including Stafford Loans for students, Parent PLUS Loans, and Graduate/Professional PLUS Loans (Grad PLUS). We are also the only source for loans under the SC Teachers Loan Program and the Palmetto Assistance Loan (PAL).

Our Mission Statement:
South Carolina Student Loan shall provide programs of financial assistance to enable eligible students and parents to pursue and obtain their educational goals. We will administer these programs with a high degree of professionalism, fiscal integrity, administrative accountability and excellent service. We will also provide professional assistance to financial aid administrators, guidance counselors and others in the administration of these programs.
