Sign a Promissory Note / MPN
A promissory note is the legal, binding document that must be signed by the borrower prior to loan funds being disbursed to your school. The promissory note states the terms and conditions of the loan, including repayment schedule, interest rate, deferment policies, and cancellation provisions. You should keep this document until the loan has been repaid in full.
Important Note: Please be aware that simply signing a promissory note will not initiate a loan application by our office. If your school needs to be notified that you have requested a loan with SC Student Loan, please Apply For A Loan. You will be given the opportunity to complete your promissory note during the loan application process.
