Training Opportunities

In a continuous effort to provide our colleagues with the highest level of service, South Carolina Student Loan is proud to offer training and professional development programs for colleges and universities.

South Carolina Student Loan's In-House Training Series

Our In-House Training Series program was designed to give our colleagues the opportunity to learn or revisit important subject matter in a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere. Keeping the numbers in each session low, usually between six and ten, enables instructors to provide attendees with personal attention.

Please register early. All attendees are asked to be on time with each session beginning promptly at 10 a.m.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

School staff who work with financial aid programs may attend. This includes:

  • Financial Aid Administrators
  • Business Officers
  • Registrars
  • Enrollment Management Administrators

Please share upcoming in-house training dates with the staff and colleagues at your institution!

In-House Training Series Calendar - Check to see which training topics are being offered throughout the year.  These sessions may be accessed via WebEx conferencing.  Please contact Ann Gregory if you prefer this option.

In-House Training Series Registration  - Complete the online registration form or download a form which can be printed and mailed or faxed.

Please direct all cancellations, questions, and comments regarding the In-House Training Series to Ann Gregory.  If you are unsure of our location, please see the directions to our office.

South Carolina Student Loan's Annual Workshop

In addition to our In-House Training series, South Carolina Student Loan also provides professional development and training opportunities during our Annual Workshop.  The workshop is designed for all higher education institutions, regardless of whether your school has a working relationship with SC Student Loan. Our goal is to provide a professional development opportunity where attendees learn about important higher education topics in a relaxed, yet professional manner.

Our 2009 Workshop was held on March 23rd at the Brookland Banquet and Convention Center in West Columbia.  Please direct any questions, comments, or suggestions for future workshops to Darlene Lindler.
